Sacramento, California · Kidney Donor Awareness

Hope
Begins With
One Story.

I’m David — engineer, son, brother, and someone living with kidney failure and dialysis. I’m looking for a living kidney donor, and I’d love your help getting the word out.

One kidney can change a life.

Living Donation Info

Have questions about what living kidney donation actually involves? We’ve gathered clear, honest answers — and the official path leads directly to CPMC.

How to Help

You don’t have to donate to make a difference. A share, a comment, an introduction to a community group — small actions can reach the right person.

The Process

What living kidney donation
actually looks like.

The process is private, confidential, and handled entirely by CPMC — not by David or this
campaign. You stay in control at every step, and you can stop at any time.

01

Visit cpmckidneydonor.org

Fill out the confidential inquiry form. This does not commit you to anything.

02

Private health screening

CPMC’s medical team reviews your information — David never sees it.

03

In-person medical evaluation

If the initial review looks promising, CPMC invites you for a full workup at no cost to you.

04

The decision is always yours

You can say yes or no at any stage, for any reason, with no obligation or explanation required.

05

Surgery & recovery

If everything aligns, CPMC schedules surgery. Most donors return to full activity within 4 weeks.

Shared David’s story everywhere I could. This campaign is the most human thing I’ve seen on the internet in a long time. Rooting for you, David.

My brother is a living kidney donor. It changed both our lives. I shared this because I know firsthand what a transplant means. Please share it too.

James T.

I didn’t know living kidney donation was even possible until I found this page. I went to the CPMC site and started the process. Just wanted David to know.
